The corporate media basically treat this kind of thing as if it weren't even news, let alone very disturbing news that should alarm anyone who prefers civic society to live under a military junta. But just you wait until a Secret Service agent or cop drops one of these assholes in his tracks. That will be all the evidence required by serious pundits to wonder aloud whether Obama really is The New Hitler, on the verge of launching Kristallnacht 2009 in the direction of all average, freedom-loving citizens.

there is a blatant double standard to this 2nd amendment bullshit: when govt ATF agents knocked on the door of David Koresh in Waco because he had a stockpile of illegal weapons, he was "justified" in shooting these law enforcement agents in cold-blood.
ReplyDeleteWhen a cop with a legitimate reason for knocking on professor Henry Gates' door was allowed in, but then remained beyond his necessary business there, the same idiots who justify the Waco gunfight condemn Gates for verbally berating the cop. No weapon, no threat. Yelling.
The double standard here is very clear: right to bear arms against law enforcement, no right to wag tongue. I'm sure it had nothing to do with one character being an educated (elite) black man and the other being an ignorant, child-molesting, Fox-watching hillbilly.
Oilcan: the double standard is a critical component that keeps the means of production clamped in the collective iron claw of inbred plutocrats. They need the extra help; they only have 21 chromosomes, after all.
