Pigs yokking it up

*
The heading of this post obviously represents a slander of pork-based members of the animal kingdom, but it serves the purpose of providing a comparison that most people immediately understand.

The motive for this vandalism is impossible for me to understand. The motive for the perpetrators to record a video of it is simple for anyone to understand: stupidity, ignorance,  profound disrespect for the planet, and probably a sense of immunity from accountability for transgressions that they "didn't really mean." If this clip actually shows what it seems to show, then perhaps these smirking clots of phlegm should spend about a year residing in a federal penitentiary to reminisce about the jolly time they had. Also, let's fine the motherfuckers about $250K apiece, which is the same amount of reparations that a person pays for, say, pirating a copyrighted movie.

  1. or make them repay the environment by using them as a human poultice to soak up the next big oil spill.

Plus, they got kicked out of the boy scouts for this.

    1. From the looks of them, they'd probably soak up about 5,000 barrels up to saturation. So I'd specify that they be wrung out at that point for repeat application.

  2. I'd bury them alive under the rock. If they're so cocky about moving rocks let's see that they can do when it's on top of them.

Baden Powell must be turning in his grave.

    1. Yes, I like it! Lay each of them in a coffin, place a goblin on his chest, and tell him the sentence ends when he lifts the rock off him. What will really happen, though, is tearful pleas for forgiveness and attorney statements cataloging all the good deeds these gentlemen have done for their community and their church. The sentence will probably be 100 hours of community service, performing missionary work for their church.

    1) radon has probably caused more exposure
    2) intense and short, this was not really
    3) iodized salt was your friend - and no one then worried about too much salt

  4. Finally saw the vid. What turkeys. Sort of like boy-men that as a group reinforces stupid behavior. Much to learn, far to grow. And we can help...

Assuming it's a national park the video should be sent directly to the National Park Service with a copy to the local and state police. Defacing natural monuments, vandalism of protected lands...surely something like that would apply -- once the proper authorities are notified. Getting a good ID on one or more could avoid the dodge of "Well, we don't know who these guys are...don't have the budget....higher priorities (etc.)". If anything think it'd just come down to a fine and/or community service...but at least they'd then KNOW (even if they don't agree).
