Piss Christ, what an asshole!

*
I wonder where President Barack Hussein Obama with regard to the TSA's ongoing regime of government-sanctioned sexual assault and systematic humiliation of American citizens at U.S. airports. Just wondering.

That is, I'm wondering why he hasn't ordered "Homeland Security" secretary Janet Napolitano to immediately fire the TSA chief "John Pistole," put an immediate stop to these unconscionable airport assaults, and give reason why she shouldn't follow Pistole out the door within 48 hours.

Meanwhile, I wonder where Libertarians and Tea Partiers are on this issue. I'd think it falls into the category of 'treading on them.' I'd find it easier to have some sympathy for those misguided individuals if they spoke up on matters that really do encroach on their "freedoms."

I wish the President would show something other than a willingness to work with Blue Dog Democrats (e.g., Napolitano), and across the aisle with the crypto-fascists who aren't happy with our little constitutional democracy we've had going here for a coupla centuries. How about appointing lame duck senator Russ Feingold the new head of Homeland Security? Obama can do this by exercising his authority as the Unitary Executive, after all, can't he?

Oh, Olympia Snowe wouldn't hear of it. I see....

  1. what's BHO supposed to do besides sympathize? If he orders it stopped, and sure enough the next airline attack is a successful vagina bomber, the gremlins will eat him alive.

Fact is, they let this shit monster out of the bag 9 years ago and no one will put it back in now. We need to remember who did it too.

Maybe this will be the final nail in the coffin of commercial flying. Good riddance. They don't grab your junk on Amtrak.

  2. Can not figure WhyTF those "x-ray scanners" can not pick up a "foriegn object" under clothing? If you see something, OK...strip and bend over. But if not....WTF!??

If they are looking for a "vagina" or "bunghole" bomber and it's not getting picked up than everyone might as well get to the airport a half a day early and be prepared for a bigtime cavity search.

This country is so messed up Jay Leno will never run out of material.

  4. Mine own observation and a quote from George Carlin:

    1. from the eyes up (block off the bottom half of the face) J. Napolitano looks like Paul McCartney

    2. the wrong two Beatles died first.

  5. Anon 1: what BHO is supposed to do is exactly what I said he should do. And bring in some security consultants from the Israeli government (not private sector!). And push congressionals to have the GAO open a file on the acquisition process for backscatter x-ray scanners, Mike Chertoff's conflict of interest in it, and the efficacy of the scanners themselves. BHO has said he isn't concerned about the 2012 election. And he shouldn't be; he should do his job. He owns the mess now and is perpetuating it through inaction.

Anon 2: your comment prompted me to link to Bruce Schneier's summary of the situation in my subsequent post. He has written prolifically on how we're squandering our resources on "security theater" instead of bona fide security measures.

Oil Can: please refrain from making fun of other people's entertainment tastes on the comments section. It's not nice. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

DC: didn't see that one coming! (I was looking the wrong way.)

  6. No no no. The conflict isn't with how to do security for air flights. Israel is of no consequence-- they fly less planes out of the entire country than Paducah Kentucky. Plus, it's not a free country.

If it's true that commercial flying is a big security risk, then this is nothing to get one's panties in a wad over. It's typical American prudishness. If you are fearful and want total safety from saboteurs then it's only a minimum inconvenience, and still far from enough.

The real point is, there is no reason for all this security, period. It was just ginned up by Bush II to support his invasions-- make the "people" feel like they were in imminent danger. But the "danger" isn't there, statistically, and what is there is impossible to stop with these sorts of measures. This crap wouldn't even have prevented 911.

So, BHO needs to ask the people, whats it going to be? Continue playing this phony homeland security game with all the associated boondoggles like you mention, or wise up and force the FBI and CIA to do their jobs with some competence, knowing something bad can always happen.

Hell, we can't even "prevent" drunk teenagers from smashing into us every weekend. Some shit is just going to happen.
