In the 1960s and 1970s, Americans did not like radicals and were afraid of them, but in the 21st century we elect them to consitutional offices in the federal government.

  1. In like a lion, out like a lamb. Outsider radicals, if holding any actual real power (power of the purse) will be coopted, coerced, cajoled, conspired against, and generally corrupted. As a recent cartoon suggests, they'll become the Herbal Tea Party.
